Logan - Fall 2011

Age - 2 1/2

We are so grateful for our little "boy". He tells us all the time that he is a boy. "I a boy, Logan Jesse Bell." He loves cars, trucks, trains, bikes, wagons, and pretty much anything with wheels. He keeps us on our toes as he explores and discovers so much each day. Its pretty amazing that a 2 year old can rule the roost, but he does. He has us all wrapped around his finger and he knows it. Logan is a show off and loves to make all of us laugh. One day I asked him if I could count on him. He responded "Yes Mom" and then pointed to his stomach and said "one, two, three . . ." I love this age and try to take mental pictures and notes each day because I know he won't be my "little boy" for long.

LEXI - Fall 2011

Age - 7

Lexi is still our squirm worm, cuddle bug. Her Nana gave her that nick name when she was a few months old and it still fits. Her bouncy, sassy, silly, giggly personality comes bubbling out and brightens our world. I love being with Lexi because her excitement for life is contagious and you just can't help but smile and laugh when she is around. At the same time she melts our hearts with her sweetness. She would do almost anything for anyone if she knows it will make them happy. She loves taking care of Logan and she understands what he needs and wants better than anyone else.

LYDIA - November 2011

Age - 8 3/4

Lydia was not excited about getting her picture taken, but she faked it pretty well. I love my almost 9 year old. She is the best biggest sister ever - very responsible and hard working. Lydi is determined to conquer whatever she sets her mind to - school work, soccer, dance, back handsprings. I might be a little bias but I think she is super smart. She recently won 2nd place in her school spelling bee where she competed with 3rd to 6th graders. She is

really sensitive to others' feelings and is always aware of how her actions are impacting others. Lydia tries to do whats right and wants others to do the same. She inspires me to be better and try harder because that is what she is always trying to do.

FAMILY PICTURES - November 2011

Why is it so hard to get family pictures done? All I can think is that it must be REALLY important because it seems like we have every force working against us when we try to do family pictures. We haven't had a professional family photo done for 5 years. We decided we couldn't put it off any longer, so on a bright Fall day we went to a plaza in downtown Salt Lake and said Cheese until our cheeks were sore. It was sunny but cold and breezy, hence the watery eyes and crazy hair. I love those precious little faces so much! I hope these pictures help me to remember our sweet kids as they are right now because they are growing and changing so quickly.

Winter 2011
I can't believe how fast our kids are growing. I remember my parents saying that when I was growing up and thinking they were so weird. Now here I am watching my little family grow by leaps and bounds.

Weekend at Papa's & Nana's

Had so much fun! Making bread, riding four wheeler, taking pictures, seeing ALL cousins, playing on the playground, taking care of Collin, riding in horse cart, etc. etc.

Evans Reunion at Lodge Pole

We went to the Evans Family Reunion at Lodge Pole, on Thursday night. Grandma Betty is the classiest camper I know. When we arrived at her campsite she had a cloth table cloth out on her picnic table with a bowl of fruit as the center piece. The tent trailer was immaculate and perfectly organized, and she was ready to sit and visit with anyone who came by.


Pa Chad and Grandma Betty's family were in charge of the dinner. The meal was a little delayed. We were supposed to start at 6, but in true Evans fashion Aunt Sherry didn't arrive until 7:30 pm. She was bringing the hamburger buns, a vital component of sloppy joes. It all worked out - and much to every ones' surprise we had enough food.


It is always great to be in the mountains with Grandpa and Grandma and ALL the Evans'.

Swimming Lessons

We finally finished our 4 weeks of swimming lessons and have emurged as great swimmers with pretty good tans. Mrs Eggett is the best teacher ever and we even get to go back to her pool in the afternoon for free swim time.



Lydia is a super front crawler, complete with side breathing, and does pretty good on her back crawl too. We call her Nemo because her left arm is a little weak. Her favorite thing to do is dive for sea horses at the bottom of the pool "even in the way deep water" and then swim to the side. She can cannon ball or dive from one knee off the diving board and then swim clear to the other end of the pool. She is definatly part fish and would stay in the water all day if she could. But she is also very obedient and always gets out on the first time asked - maybe because her tummy is growling.

Lexis is a great swimmer too. She can swim the arrow, bob, jump in from the side or the diving board, dive for sea horse at the bottom of the pool, and float on her back. You can't help but smile and laugh when you watch her because she has a HUGE smile on her face every time she comes out of the water. Her favorite thing to do is go down the slide and swim to the steps. She did a really good job at focusing and listening to her teacher.

July Already

We started our 4th of July weekend off early on the 3rd with an impromptu barbeque with the Robinson clan - good friends and neighbors. Then we went up to Eaglewood golf course to watch the annual fireworks show in Bountiful. We had a great time. Jesse was trying to simplify so we only brought one BIG bag and four blankets, and left the camera at home. I'll have to get some pictures to post from Lori.

On the 4th we sweltered in the heat all morning and then decided to go to the condo for a swim. It was great, the girls got to show Jesse all their cool swimming moves that they have been learning: jumping, diving, pencil swim, floating on back, front crawl, back crawl, and doggie paddling - I don't remember them learning that one in their lessons, but they seem to do it a lot.
